I too played that game!! when Guile is flipped around the other way (facing to the right) the flag is displayed PROPERLY!! its a goddamed 8 bit character!!!
turn his ass the other way and the flag is the way the artists intended it to be....
back then 8 bits didnt have right and left sides, they were just mirrored...

PS -- on Guiles flag turk... lol... if it was 'proper backwards' the BLUE would be towards his chest, not his back... so this TELLS YOU its an inverse image.
