User Charles bought up an excellent point - he eluded that the 1/23 "event" will be around that date because the country will have just climaxed off of the Obama inauguration celebration. If anyone has ever experenced an orgasm, followed by negativity - you well know that this is the WORST emotional torture you could possbily imagine.

Scenario: you live with a 3 roomates. Your girlfriend is over in your room. You just finish making love and you are on cloud 9, enjoying the natural high, when you hear a BANG, BANG, BANG on your door ... it's your bitchy roommate Julia who is an anemic, type-1 personality, sociopatic BITCH... she says "we need to talk!!". You go to talk to her, feeling all good form your high, but she is in attack mode about the late night escapade you've been having....

My point is this would be torture... this would be similar to feeding a pet cat once every 3 days, but when you shake the food-bag and he comes running and desperately goes to eat all he can as fast as he can, you BEAT the cat with a broom-stick. The cat must endure the beating in order to get the food he desperately needs. Emotional torture....

Perhaps america is due for the same kind of thing soon.. an emotional, *hopefull*, everything's gonna be alright, HIGH by way of the pagentries of the inauguration ball
followed by a BANG on the door by an evil bitch. The resulting vertigo of the masses would make them succeptable to almost any sort of stimuli.
